Dark Cloud: There Could Be A Dark Cloud Over This Game

The opening movie is pretty interesting, and as you start building up cities from the ground up by retrieving building blocks from each dungeon, it seems addicting and very fun at first. I admit that I did have alot of fun in the first world, but after that, things turned from fun to boring. The act of going into the same dungeon over and over and over again with no difference at all is unintolerable. The monsters got old very fast. It became painful for me to even decide to play the game. When you are loading up a game and already feeling tired, you know that a game's bad. Everything I did in the game was repetitive from retrieving building blocks, switching characters to use their abilities, and going into the same dungeon after dungeon. It's ludicrous! Dark Cloud comes very close to a complete knock-off of Zelda, with the sounds and all. The reason I gave it a 3.0 was because of originality and the excitement I had in the beginning of the game. I had never before seen a game like this. Little did I know how terrible the game really was. If you plan on getting it, forget it. It's worth a rental just to see what the building and Zelda-knockoff is all about. I don't know how DC2, but I'd guess it's as monotonous as the first. Final word: Skip this rainshower and play Final Fantasy 7, if you haven't already.
