Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore: The top PS2 fighting game...

DOA2 first came out for the now deceased(R.I.P), DreamCast. Then DOA2: Hardcore was announced for the PS2...One of it's first, and best launch games. DOA2:Hardcore is no simple port with upgrades..I'd say it beats DOA2 with flying colors. And even though it's old, I think it is still one of the best 3D fighters of today. The graphics for example are still kind of a benchmark..They truly showed off the power of the PS2. From the enviorments to fluid character animation...And it also controls very good. The PS2 controller is perfect for this sort of game. While you fight it out with the other buff or bouncy fighters, there are some sweet jams to listen to also. Also, sounds like the crunching of bones or being thrown through a wall and falling to the pavement below are very nicely done... Like all fighting games, the game has a nonsense story that you probably won't even understand. The endings barely make sense...Theres a few modes to play, but the most unique being tag- team, where you can switch out another fighter while fighting another, and even do special team moves. And the extras in this game, reason as it is called hardcore, may keep you playing for quite a while..There are two characters to unlock, an art gallery, and MANY costumes for the characters...If you didn't get it at launch, get it today or whenever...DOA2: Hardcore is something no fighting game fan should be without..
