Sonic Advance, the original, kicked ass last year-- it wasn't too hard, too fast, and was nice if a little short. It had lots of extras and was a very worthy purchase. However, just like Jaws, there was a sequel: And, just like Jaws 2, SA2 is worse than the original. Sonic Advance 2 is almost as hard as the neary imossible DBZ: CCG, which doesn't help if you buy a strategy guide. Enemies are tough as nails to kill: Some boss battles made me want to throw my GBA away. Although the graphics are nice, everything is a fast-paced scene of havoc and gravity seems to be against you through some loops and curves. Speed is of the escence-- which really messes up the extras. See, you gotta collect 7 special rings before you can even get 1 chaos emerald--but levels are more meant for speed than extras or anything else. It's hard enough to get three special rings--how am I supposed to get all 7 chaos emeralds?!?! If you want a tough game that is pretty darn rewarding with hard gameplay and extras, SA2 is for you. The sound and control are near perfect--the tunes are really nice, and your characters control great except for the loops. I am glad to see, though, that the Chao Garden is gone!
