For quite a while the 2-d game genre has been falling. It just cant contend with the cool appeal of a 3-d game. But this game shows that the genre will be going out in a blaze of glory. Now for those of you who weren't um....lucky enough to own a dreamcast you probably walked right past this masterpeice. Well now is your chance to experience one of the greatest fighting games (in my opinion) of all time. Capcoms been known for their overly innovative fighting games (Street Fighter Alpha, Capcom v.s.S.N.K., Marvel V.S.Capcom)and this one is no exception. From the moment you start playing you'll be inclind to play the game to the fullest. Like its predecessor, you conjure up a 3-man team and engage in some fast pased action. The action is obviously where this game shines the most. Its incredible. From learning your first special move, to learning air combos, to doing triple combos at your own will. Its so satisfying beating the comp and your friends in stylely and painfull combos. And with the huge roster of characters (46.Thats alot. I dont even think the King of Fighters series has that much)you can be sure that whoever grabs hold of this game will have a three man team in no time. Theres a team for everyone. I mean it! And upgrading your team is fun aswell. As you get more characters your team will almost always change, always adding new stronger poeple to your team. This keeps the replay value high. The controls are sharp. No problem there. The music is jazzy and.....unique. The graphics dont fare as well though. After playing Guilty Gear X, my expectations of a fighting game have been high in the animation department. Guilty Gear x's animations were hand drawn and then pixilated, which makes its graphics rise above the competition. But hey MVSC2'S graphics get the job done. They might be showing their age but their still decent. But you wont notice that when your pulling off 30 hit combos in the air will you.
