yes the c-stick special moves take away from the games complexity but you don't have to choose that option!!! The GC comtroler takes alittle getting used to for a fighter but it works out... you can also buy an arcade stick! I have the version for the PS2 as well and this version is much better than that one... So it is worth to get the arcade stick if you're a real 2D fighter fan... If you're not craving it that much though waiting for Capcom vs SNK 3 (xbox) is probably the best bet!
