With the introduction of the X Box, of course there has to be a little piece of one of the most successful games of all time, Goldeneye. This is not GoldenEye. It isn't even close to GoldenEye. If anything, it's BronzeEye. Agent Under Fire is highly reminiscent of The Sixth Day; a cloning conspiracy. The story follows along well, but remains slightly broken near the agrivatingly "easy" climax. AUF is the Jurassic Park III of the Bond games: not the worst, but most certainly not the best. Visually, it's beautiful, with reflections, shadows, and blinding speed. The sound is of high quality if you ignore the terrible Pierce Brosnan impersonater. All-in-all, Agent Under Fire will quickly (12 "short" missions) the Die-Hard Bond Fanatic, but is only worth a rental otherwise. G R A P H I C S - 4.5 Agent Under Fire is a visual masterpiece. The two driving mission's cars are so fast, smooth, and reflective that it easily dominates over Gran Turismo 3, Test Drive, and Project Gotham. S O U N D - 4.0 You can hear Bond take every step across metal floors and wooden platforms. But the Pierce Brosnan impersonator is terrible. C O N T R O L - 3.0 It's Bond on Ice. The X Box analog stick is slippery at best, and by the time you finally have the crosshairs where you want them, you'll be long dead. F U N F A C T O R - 3.5 Agent Under Fire is lacking that one important ingredient: originality. It shares all the been-there-done-that as with The World is Not Enough games.
