Yes when you look at the game you think, ahh Nintendo's trademark of a child oriented game.Beneath this game's childish look is a strategy- based game thats not particulary tuned to kids.I have to give Nintendo credit for not following the mass of tried-but-true games that are becoming repetetive. They have really tried something new and in my opinion scored big time. The graphics are fresh and look beautiful. The sounds were nice but the music and Pikmin "noises" were repetetive and a little to cute. The controls were easy to learn and were mapped out perfectly for the Gamecube controller. And in fun factor:from the time you plucked those Pikmin from the ground you grew strangely close. So thumbs up to Nintendo and Miyamoto,it looks like they created another must have Gamecube title.
