Dark Sector: Better Than Gears of War

Now, let me start by saying Gears of War is an extremely polished game but I have a few problems with it like the corny one liners (Cole Train) and the repetitive gunplay. At the time it was amazing but Dark Sector has made me look at third person shooters completely differently. The Glaive is an amazing weapon, that's first. Decapitating your enemy from a distance is extremely fun or cutting of a limb and hearing them scream in pain is awesome. The graphics are definitely better than GOW and I'm certain of that. Controls are also better, the run button isn't just a mad dash, you can actually control your character. The game has you constantly evolving and just becoming more and more badass. That's something GOW defintely didn't do, it was the same scenario over and over with different enemies. The brutality and the story in Dark Sector is also better. GOW is for action fans, this game should be geared more towards Resident Evil 4 fans. This game came out extremely well and buy the end of the game your character is completely unrecognizable from how he started because he evolves into such a sick killing machine. This game better have a sequel, that's all I have to say. I would give this game a high recommendation for a purchase for those that loved games like RE4. Ignore the critic review, mostly just GOW fanboys that are hating on a fantastic game, just look at the average user reviews on this one. Check it out before you can't find one.
