While trying once again to get through Mass Effect on my birthday none the less i found myself wandering back to this website as if it where for homeless shelter and I was a stray dog. Did that make sense? Anyway, as soon as I went to the unbiased message boards I was greeted with DEVIL MAY CRY 4 DEMO OUT TODAY. Since I couldn't stand going thru mass effect I gave the demo a a shot. After the twelfth time thru I realized i was having Fun. Me. Of all people. Sooner or later I found myself with a copy in hand. I played it in 3 days on Human mode (which i seem is a insult or warning of difficulties to come) and the game gave a sense that Japanese anime games don't have to be bad like Nauruto but actually give a sense of what flipping through the air cutting people up and shooting a big ass boss in the back of the face is like. Back of the face? Anyway, opposed to playing Dante throughout the entire game you play as Nero ( which is like playing Halo but only to find out your the arbiter until the final stages). Nero is a part of a cult, who seem like they belong in The fucking Da Vinci Code, who recently just got a mouth full of lead by Dante (who deserved it if you played the game). First I would like to say this: "Capcom, WTF is your obession whith white hair males in fucking red jackets? I mean the only thing between Dante and Nero is a five o clock shadow and a glowing arm." Now that its off my chest. I can sit down and talk shit. First the dialouge in the game is not the worst but not the best i.e " If he screws up, then I'll just have to kick his ass". The cinematics happen as often as the raise of prices of a gas station but give you the sense that it is for entertainment. Now if you hate a boss in DEVIL MAY CRY 4 then give up cause you dont go through them once, not twice, but 3 times. now if your a fan of the series, then why are you reading this review. But if not then i suggest at least renting this stellar action game. Until the next time i'm off to burn a llama...
