Without a doubt, Shenmue is my favourite game of all time! To be honest, this game and it's sequel is the only reason I don't just put my DreamCast on eBay right now and get some money for it. I have played this game more than any other and I NEVER get bored of it. I think that there is a great story line and love the game how it is on DreamCast and hope for a Shenmue 3 on DreamCast as soon as possible, even if it is highly expensive. Here is the game story, you lead the character through this amazing game, experience the fights and QTE (Quick Timed Actions) as well as control Ryo through everyday things, including different weather situations, arcade games to play and you can even practice your fighting in the park or a warehouse, as well as being able to buy food and drink (even chocolate) and feed fish, milk and other foods to the cat in the village park. On 29th November, 1986 Ryo Hazuki returns home to witness his father, Iwao Hazuki battling with a man in Chinese-style clothing, who demands, "where is the mirror?". Ryo tries to intervene, but is unsuccessful and is injured by Lan Di. His father refuses to reveal the location of the "mirror", so the chinese man threatens to kill Ryo. Iwao then reveals it is under the cherry tree. The man then sends his henchmen to dig up the mirror whilst he gives Iwao the fatal blow. Then they flee the scene. Ryo vows revenge and starts by asking about the incident in the town next to his village, Sakuragaoka. Ryo picks up clues as you go through the game, finding out more and more information about the murderer. After a while he learns the name of his father's murder: Lan Di. He also finds of another mirror and of gangs which are associated with Lan Di, such as the Chi You Men and The Mad Angels. Ryo gets a job at the harbour in order to learn more about the Mad Angels gang, and eventually he causes them enough trouble that the gang kidnaps his friend (whom many think is more than just a friend) Nozomi Harasaki. To rescue Nozomi, Ryo must first fight Guizhang, the son of the Chen, the man who enlightens you about the other mirror, then team up with Guizhang to defeat all seventy members of the Mad Angels gang. Upon defeat, the gang's leader reveals to Ryo that Lan Di has left Japan for Hong Kong. With the aid of the Chen family as well as his family and friends, Ryo boards a boat to Hong Kong. Before the close of the first chapter (and subsequent end of the game itself), he is instructed by Master Chen to seek out the help of a master of the Chinese martial arts located in Wan Chai named Lishao Tao. Concluding the first chapter of Shenmue, Ryo boards a boat and travels to Hong Kong in pursuit of Lan Di.
