Wave Race: Blue Storm is an okay game. It's not quite what would be expected for a nintendo video game system launch but it'll do for some. It's not much more then Wave Race 64 with slightly better graphics and afew modifications, not much more. If you liked Wave Race 64, this game will satisfy you. For the rest of us, don't bother buying this game. A good alternative would be Splashdown for PS2. Controls - 3.5 - A reminder of Wave Race 64, the controls are frustrating at first and hard to get used to, but once you get used to them, you can master them (not with ease though). Graphics - 4.5 - The graphics just barely make a 4.5, but they do. Some enviroments are impressive, nothing jaw dropping but impressive. Basically graphics from Wave Race 64 given a Gamecube face lift. Sound - 3.0 - Their okay, but character voices can get annoying and the announcers are even worse. It's not too bad, but there's not really anything special here. Fun Factor - 3.0 - If you are a Wave Race enthusiast, don't mind the hard to get used to controls, and don't mind shutting your TV's volume down, this games for you, and I would say it would be around 4.5 with that reasoning. If the following doesn't all apply to you, don't waste your money.
