Super Mario 64 DS: Ah, remakes. Especially when a touch screen is added.

Super Mario 64 is an awesome game. If anyone disagrees, chances are you need a brain surgery. But hey, some things were missing like... Yoshi or Mario's brother. However, the only system this would exist for the time being that would take the chance would be the DS. However, the touch screen proves to be flawed. The game is the same. However, you start as Yoshi, which I find extremely crazy because it's Super Mario 64 DS, and apparantly Yoshi being first to be played as is downright rediculous. So tyou start as Yoshi, greeted by a Lakitu like before, but the castle doors are locked. So you have to chase the rabbit and get the key, and then get into the castle. Now...I find that cruel because chasing rabbits proved challenging, and the fact you have to use a tedious touch screen would just prove to be an annoyance. Now the graphics are upgraded, good for a DS game. The sound is the same, but the controls is not ignored, and takes away Mario 64 magic. I mean, you have to hold a button to run?! I know there's areas in the game where you have to be careful while running, but what do you do must of the time? Run. The addition of multiplayer minigames is nice, and adds a bit more fun to the game.Super Mario 64 was a great game foe the time being(good for a launch title if I were to say in another way), but due to so many games that are incredibly fun now like Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass or Mario Kart DS, it would be better if you gave this game a pass.
