Shenmue 2 is an rpg of a different kind. Instead of using swords and magic, you'll be using lips and feet(for walking that is). Joking. Shenmue 2 is a sequel to the first on the dreamcast. (the what?) It continues the story of Ryo (who you play as) as he continues to seek his father's murder. He now sets of in Hong Kong and has some interesting encounters with a kid, a lady on a bike, and many annoying looking chinese con artists. One of the cool features of shenmue two is a branching effects of success of failures of interactive cut scenes sort of like RE4. (Even though this game came out BEFORE it) Other features are like real world things. Time, you have to get a job, and you can talk to everyone. (literally everyone) You can knock on their door and ask where you need to go. Even kids might take you where you need to go. (Better hide the kids from Micheal) The fighting only occurs in sparse areas and no you cant fight all the time. The drawbacks from this game is that it's a little dated, sometimes the camera is hard to use, and sometimes walking and turning is a hard thing to do. Another drawback is the bad voice acting and translation. Your character will stutter and say oh. uh, hmm, and repeat whatever the person your talking might say. Honestlyy, though many rpg fans will not like this (no turn base action, not much character development or depth, and the hero is sometimes either retarded or just has no common sense) The good things though are the vast areas that seem just like a normal environment and the interactive cutscenes. One last comment is about the fact that the things to do in shenmue is somewta like the gta series except less exploration, no vehicles, and no weapons. (and no, there are no stats involved either)
