Super Swing Golf: What ever happen to simple golf games?

When I first got this game I was hoping it was similar to the Hot Shot golf series. Boy was I wrong. It's not really for beginners. Although it has great animation and color, it could use improvement in gameplay (especially putting which is VERY difficult at times). Seems like video game companies these days try so hard to make a good golf game that they go a little over board. Thats how I felt about this game. It focuses more on Japanese animation/fantasy (which is GREAT) and less on golf gameplay.
