Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories: KH:CoM all around review

Kingdom Hearts CoM is a rather different departure from most sequals. Though it extends the already interesting and complex story, and has excellent dialog, the gameplay is the most lacking of all. Though the "card" fights are innovative and new, its complicated and difficult to master. But it is probably better than just a simple sidescroller. The cards are a nice idea on paper, but didn't really translate well into play. Plus, the game likes to challenge you by putting you against AI oppenents who can swiftly navigate their card stock and and preform sleights in a blink of an eye (Riku for one). This makes the final boss look like a pushover. The story is the most interesting part, paving the way to Kingdom Hearts II, by introducing a new group of enemies and new story archs. But, at the end of this game, you'll have more questions than answers (Well, till after KHII). Well, this is a well made game for the GBA. It will have you laughing and feeling sad. But if you hate reading, this game is not for you. But overall, if you have played KHI, you have to play this game. The graphics are good during the CGI sceens, but there is a remake. Kingdom Hearts: Re Chain of Memories, included with KHII Final Mix+. (Only availbly in Japan, but may come to the US)
