Being an avid baseball fan I have never been fully impressed by any baseball game. Once again I am less that impressed about the newest game. MLB 2k7 Is a good effort, but it still needs work. Visually, the graphics are stunning. The ballparks look great and the players look even better. Batting works well with the new system and the number of alternate uniforms are impressive. The problem is pitching this year. There is a new scouting report feature that is supposed to give you an edge on batters. The report works fine with hitting, but when pitching it fails over and over again. It is impossible to keep your opponents from hitting long ball after long ball. Even with the scouting reports they hit homeruns inning after inning. Opposing defenses never miss a ball. Virtually every ball you hit inside the field of play is caught. I would like to see this improve next year, but this is still the best game on the market. If you cant help yourself from playing baseball sims then this is your best bet, but if your looking for a realistic sim your out of luck............
