Sonic the first game of Sega's primer series, and also the first game to implement REAL speed into a game. Though improvement's on future installment's improved upon the game you have to pay homage to there root's. The story behind Sonic is Dr. Robotnic has captured all the animal's and is using them in machine's in a plot to get the Caios Emerald. The emerald give's it's possessor un-imaginable un-stoppable power. You set out to free the animal's and put a stop to Dr. Robotnic. The game was the flagship example for what 16-bit grafix could do at the time. Nothing looked better on the market. And everything is animated and lively. Everything look's great even today plugging this game in you will be able to enjoy it. The audio is another aspect of this game that strut's it's stuff. A plethora of soundFX bring this game to life. Also the game has an original composed OST that set's a tone for each and every zone. The control's in this game are simple to learn, and make the game all that more enjoyable. You can attack by rolling into a ball while running and plowing threw obstacle's and baddies. Or jumping into the enemy's. And the game play is simple standard side scrolling adventure, collect Ring's to survive a hit. All around this game is made to perfection, and is just a treat to enjoy. Overall this game is defiantly one everyone should play. And a must have if you own a Genisis, you could also probably find it on modern day Game collection's.
