Def Jam:Fight For NY is the sequel to the 2003 fighter from EA, which mixed the gameplay of wrestlers like WWE and UFC with the rappers of the record company Def Jam. The story carries on from the previous game, as D-Mob is being arrested and taken away to the police station, but suddenly a SUV smashes into the police car, and helps D-Mob escape, do you want to know who was driving the SUV, you did! Yes you must create your own character to play in the season mode, which the create-a-character mode is very in depth, though at first you can only give his facial features, but once you go deeper into the career mode, you can start to customize his appearance. In the career mode you simply wrestle to win clubs back. What will happen is you must defeat a set of opponents, then you will fight a boss and once you defeat that boss you now own that club. The career mode will take you about 10 hours to complete, and there's a lot to see and do. There's characters to unlock after you've completed the story, as well as more content. The graphics are superb, though the crowd is so tacky (and seeing as the crowd is your ring) that it holds down the graphics. The rest of the graphics are flawless, with awesome arenas, character models and other things. The sound is absolutely fantastic, with songs from the artists that feature in the game, and the effects are awesome. The voice acting is also superb, with the rappers voicing their character in the game. Def Jam is great for wrestling fans, fighting fans and Hip Hop fans.
