Trauma Center: Second Opinion: Certainly not scrubs, but it can be!

This game accomplishes something many games today don't, I actually became enthralled by it's gameplay and believed I was a Doctor! Indeed, that is the biggest strength for Trauma center, I believe. Second Opinion is the Wii version of the critically acclaimed DS game. So let's break it down. Gameplay: The gameplay is fun. Simply put. You are first given the easy tutorial levels, which pull you into the game. But after that, I found myself quickly becoming a pro, because the gameplay is very accesible to most gamers. Despite being easily accesible, it does have it's challenging moments, so children and Surgical experts can enjoy! Sound: The epic score is interesting. Though that's so, it isn't so interesting as to merit use through the entire game. I do like that during dramatic cutscenes, the music will go to a mix between doctor drama and anime drama music. The voiceovers are pretty good, for however long they last, because they only ever say a phrase or two. Graphics: The in-game graphics are pretty good. Looking inside a patients body isn't too confusing, while seemingly having a look of realism. I am not digging the cookie-cutter characters in the cutscenes. Text only cutscenes, without animation really bug me now-a-days, especially with modern cut-scenes looking so amazingly real. All in all: Great game. I find myself tying the characters of Scrubs, into the characters of Trauma center. Despite that, this isn't at all like Scrubs, and the drama is more like that of ER. But it does allow you to feel as if you're in the OR. Final word? Certainly not scrubs, but it can be! (Cheers.)
