Crysis 2 is in the planning stages. As in, planning to explode more PCs.
Crysis is critically lauded for its visual masterpiece, garnering an impressive review scores across the board . Crytek is justgetting started with Crysis, it turns out. Gamernode is reporting that Steven Bender, the lead animator and animation at Crytek, expects the next installment to be even more visually stunning:
Whatever this is, it'll look better in Crysis 2.
"According to him, the developer's attention will be even more focused on graphics. There will be numerous improvements regarding textures (especially facial textures) and 3D-animations. Their ambitious aim is to push the game's visuals to an advanced level, that could be considered near photorealistic movie quality."
In Chris Morell's Gamepro review , he noted the steep system requirements for the full Crysis experience. Crysis 2 most likely will even push those requirements even further.
With PC games finally utilizing DirectX 10, and companies like ATI along with Nvidia already planning even more powerful video cards, it could soon bea reality for Crytek. Crysis has proven to be more than worthy successor to Far Cry, and Crytek's future knows no bounds when it comes to pushing graphics to the edge.
