NInja Gaiden 2 is on the way, and its developers are revealing all new information to anyone willing to listen. You're willing to listen, right?
Don't play with friends after eating jelly sandwiches.
Ninja Gaiden 2 was quite a pleasant surprise when it was officially announced Tokyo Game Show. As Ryu Hayabusa preps for his Xbox 360 debut, Next-Gen chatted with the game's producer, Yoshifuru Okamoto to preview the upcoming game:
"It's too early for Okamoto to go into detail, but he promises a more intense and 'interesting' game than before, with a wider variety of rival characters and boss battles. Foremost will be a rival ninja to Hayabusa - a nemesis central to the game's events. The proposed enemy types sound a mite familiar - demonic beasts and gun-toting commandos join the usual ninja hit squads - but their attack patterns and strategies, whether grouped or isolated, are more varied. The need to find the right weapon for each challenge, furthermore, will be brutally enforced."
Touching on the focus on the graphic content of the game, Okamoto maintained that it's necessary for the games experience and realism. He also stated that the different weapons used would utilize different actions and attacks affecting the fun factor of the game.
Ninja Gaiden was noted for its high difficulty factor, but Okamoto left a vague impression that the sequel will be toned down to reach a bigger audience. It sounds like the difficulty factor could be made up with the strategic nature and weapon choice as talked about.
It doesn't look like Ninja Gaiden 2 will be short of a few flying severed limbs. Armed with new weapons and devastating attacks, Team Ninja has up the ante about being an elite ninja.
Hey, thanks Next-Gen

God I hope so, I have high expectations for this tittle but the last ninja gaiden's are so hard that it's frustrating and keep me away from the series.Posted at: 11/13/07 at 1:06 PM PST
It might be more fun this way. I played the Sigma version of it and while the game is very good, it also is hard as hell, which translates into many frustrating moments and quite a few Game Over screens. The frustration of dying so many times before getting past just the smallest areas took some of the fun away from the game. I should know. I died 284 times before I finished it. Oddly enough, I beat the last 3 bosses of the game without dying even once. Go figure.
