After creating one of the Wii's top titles, you'd think Retro would be up for some R & R. You'd be wrong. Retro talks about Metroid's reception, and its next project, and we present our hopes for the company.

Retro Studios maybe taking a break from Samus, but that doesn't the company is just sitting around. During the E For All expo, Gamasutra spoke to Nintendo's Public Relation manager, Eric Walter, and when asked about what Retro is currently doing, he stated:

"I can't. I can tell you they're definitely hard at work, though! I just talked to those guys this morning, in fact, and they're definitely hard at work. There'll be some things coming out, for sure. They're really excited about Metroid Prime 3; it's doing well, and that's a game that I think will see good sales through the holidays."

It is good to hear that Retro is already up and working on its next project. It would be even better if we all knew what Retro is working? Retro had some interesting games before cancelling them in favor for Metroid Prime. It included Car Combat, NFL Retro Football, and the most promising one, Raven Blade.

If Retro were to pick up Raven Blade again, it probably would be a joyous occasion among Nintendo fans. But either way, we all would be probably be happy with whatever Retro has planned for us.

Hey, thanks: Gamasutra
