Blog Post: God: Let There Be Dedede and Replay Mode Subscribe to this RSS feed

The Smash Bros. Brawl Gods descend upon us with a new playable character and oh-so interesting feature!

"You can't touch MY high score, bitches!!"

It seems that whenever there's an update over at Smash Bros. Dojo a little angel in my mind gets it's wings. Like Moses spreading the word passed down from God, I too shall bring you knowledge of ultimate proportions! Well if you count Smash Bros. Brawl details as ultimate knowledge - I certainly do.

Today a new playable character was announced and I'm sure you all saw the screenshots of King Dedede crushing Bowser's face with his mallet. To be honest, I wasn't too excited about this one. Don't we already have a Kirby antagonist in Meta-Knight? Maybe I'm just jaded after the Sonic announcement, but I would have rather they announced Tails or perhaps Absolute Zero-Suit Samus, if you know what I mean.

The second commandment, err, announcement is a feature that allows players to record their brawls, replay them, and show them off via the internet. This is very similar to Halo 3's record feature. You can only record about three minutes worth of play, which kind of sucks. If you use this feature in conjunction with the timed target smash mode, then you can show off videos of your best scores. Pretty cool, huh.

Hey, Thanks: Joystiq
