Why should demonic Hell-spawn settle in one city? The developers of Hellgate: London want to take the series to other cities, and we've got the itinerary.

Headed to your hometown...

Bill Roper, CEO of Flagship Studios, is quite confident in its first upcoming studio release game Hellgate: London. In a short chat with CVG the famed ex-Blizzard employee divulges what he sees in Hellgate: London's future:

"But for us we've been looking and saying, 'Well, these are the stories we're telling in London, this is what's happening now in this place'. We would love to be able to then explore what's happening in other places during this time... And we really do hope we get that chance to do it with more games. If the game's [Hellgate: London] popular, if people like it, then I guess there's a chance we can do more."

It sounds like Flagship Studios are already looking to expand Hellgate beyond the demon-infested city of London. Whether it will be downloadable, expansions or sequels, it is unclear how Flagship wants to expand the Hellgate storyline.

Hellgate: London has been built up as the spiritual equivalent of a Diablo 3 (which has not been announced/confirmed/denied). It features very similar elements of the Diablo series. Hellgate London is set to invade stores on Halloween (October 31) for Windows.
