Rumors are circulating that Capcom will have some hearty TGS announcements, while the company says otherwise. Regardless, here's what we know of Capcom's plans.

A couple days ago, Australian gaming website Gameplayer let loose a rumor that Capcom would be making 3 big announcements at this upcoming Tokyo Game Show. Christian Svensson, the Senior Director of Strategic Planning and Research of Capcom, posted a response in answering the question about the rumored announcements:

""The biggest announcement "at TGS" that I'm aware of was made last week in advance of the event with Capcom's collaboration with Camelot on We Love Golf. If there's something more than that's got someone excited at some unknown (to me at least) Australian website (who originally reported this rumor... which was then rereported by nearly every lazy gaming news outlet/blog on the planet), I'm not sure what it would be (and yes, I know everything being discussed at the show)."

Some heads might explode? Well that narrows it down to... every Capcom franchise.

Svensson notes that while no major announcements will be made at TGS, but in the upcoming weeks, it will be in London that Capcom saved its big announcements for. He says, "It's there that some heads might explode".

It's a wise to move to unveil the announcements at its own event instead of at TGS where Capcom could be overshadowed by other surprises developers may make. Speculation is running amuck with many Capcom forum members are suggesting a new Street Fighter game, and Capcom put up a survey to pique consumer interest in a Dead Rising sequel. Whatever the announcements will be, it will make your head explode as promised by Capcom.

I hope they make dead rising 2 a lot better from the first one, then I�ll buy it.

I've heard 4 things myself. One is that Dead Rising 2 and Lost Planet will make their way to the Ps3, another one is Dead Rising 2 and Lost Planet 2 will be announced, the third is a new Street Fighter game and the latest one i heard is possibly a new Street Fighter versus *Company* game.
