Star Wars: The Force Unleashed turns Wii remote into light saber.

Today Lucasarts announced that the Wii version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will include a special duel mode. The duel mode will allow players to face their friends in an epic light saber battle. Here's a little something from the official press release:

"The Wii version, in development by Krome Studios, will also add an exclusive duel mode in which players can compete head-to-head with their friends to determine the ultimate Jedi Master."

The President of LucasArts, Jim Ward stated:

"The Wii is a great platform for The Force Unleashed, because the console's motion-oriented controllers really bring the game to life. We've worked hard to make the Wii version of the game unique in order to truly let you unleash the Force.

Finally it seems like LucasArts is going to deliver the Wii remote-saber action we've been dreaming of. If it's everything I hope it is, then I expect buying this game for any console other than the Wii will be a tough call.
