Blog Post: Army of Two has room for you! Subscribe to this RSS feed
Like good soldiers, Army of Two has snuck up on us. Shacknews has a pretty impressive preview at the game that's aiming at Gears of War's co-op crown.
So happy together...
Tired of playing an one man wrecking crew? Now with EA Montreal's new game Army of Two, players will need to cooperate to get the job done. Shacknews has a preview of EA's upcoming game:
"EA Montreal did a great job with making the controls for these context-sensitive segments incredibly natural. When my human-controlled partner picked up a heavy shield, all I had to do was run up behind him. My character automatically latched onto his best bro's back with one hand, and the camera angle switched to give me a more helpful sideways view. It was essentially like manning a turret while my partner drove an armored vehicle, as I could fire over the shield on enemies while avoiding any damage."
Now that's teamwork. One of the unique features of Army of Two is the "aggro" system. It allows one partner to glow and attract attention while the other appears translucent thus being ignored. It can change vice versa when the other player builds up his meter by attacking.
Along with the "aggro" system, it also incorporate buddy moves as well. Like the one described above, there are special moves players can do when working together. A couple of moves includes rappelling, healing, driving, and being able to give ammunition to your partner.
Looks like teamwork is being taken to a whole new level. Army of Two is schedule to raid stores November 13 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Hey, thanks: Shacknews

Hahahhahaha... I love that trailer... "I'm driving" "*beep*-you, I'm driving". That's comedy! Aside from the cheesy lines, this game looks great. who cares if it's another shooter. As long as I can have fun with a partner/friend/online, it's all good in my book. I like this full co-operate idea. It's work together or die together. That's how you make a teamwork game!
