I'm excited about The Simpsons Game and I don't care who knows it!
What knowledge will Mr. Sparkles bestow upon us?
I don't usually get excited for movie-games or game-movies, but, when I first laid eyes on EA's upcoming The Simpsons Game, I was instantly impressed. Like the Simpsons Movie, I felt that The Simpsons Game was going to be a lame last attempt to cash in on the good name of the Simpsons. Fortunately I was wrong about both. What I loved about the Simpsons movie was that it didn't feel over-done. There was a lot of clever and original comedy that made me love the Simpsons in the same way I did seven years ago. The Simpsons Game does the same thing. It makes me love The Simpsons all over again by delivering the Simpsons video game I've wanted since the 4th grade.
What struck me first was the awesome cell-shading. It makes the game look and feel like your actually controlling the characters of a Simpsons episode. There's also plenty of video game satire. My favorite part of the short demo was a scene that takes place in front of a game store aptly named Sequel Stop -- even though others were only mildly entertained this tickled me in a way that only The Simpsons can. Even more exciting than the sharp humor is the game play. There's nothing more satisfying, or humorous, than playing as Homer, freely running out of your house and into the streets of Springfield and socking Ralph Wiggum to the ground while he spews a hilarious catch phrase. If you're a Simpsons fan then this game needs to be on your radar. Here are some goodies!
Joystiq reports that the game will include a parody section called, "Big Super Happy Fun Fun Land," in which Mr. Sparkle and Pokemon will make an appearance.
Hey, Thanks: Joystiq & Destructoid

There ya go, fish-bulb. Hahaha. Eh, it does look funny, but I always felt that it was always hard to create Simpsons video game. It just seemed that no matter what storyline they try to make, in the 3D Simpsons game, it was always short and simple. Even the 2D games. I don't know, that's just how I feel. But this looks like a complete turn around. Let's hope this turns out a lot better.
