Blog Post: The Great Peripheral Experiment Begins Subscribe to this RSS feed
Logitech announces plans to develop Wii peripheral that will rival the Wii-remote.
I'd hit it too.
So it's happening. Third party developers are starting to get their sites set on the enormous potential for Wii peripherals. Logitech announced it's plans to develop a peripheral for the Wii that will be a combination of the PS3's SIXAXIS controller and the Wii-remote. Given this odd pairing it's hard to imagine what the final product might look like.
GamesIndustry caught up with Ligotech's UK and Ireland Manager, Chris Spearing. Here's what Spearing had to say about this new peripheral:
"Having the motion-sensing in the SIXAXIS, that really works for some games. And for the Wii you've seen people rush out and buy the Wii for that realism, if you're swinging a tennis racket, you know how to do it. Hopefully we'll be at the forefront of pushing that further, combining some of the two."
Part one of the interview is now available. Check GamesIndustry in the future for part 2.
Hey, Thanks: Kotaku and GamesIndustry
