They hype is about to reach critical mass, as Nintendo wraps up a month of Metroid with Corruption on the Wii.

We're about ready to explode, too.

Well, it has been a long time coming as Nintendo's first big title since Twilight Princess makes it way to the Wii today. With Metroid and Super Metroid released on the Virtual Console two weeks prior to Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, the anticipation has been building with Nintendo calling it the month of Metroid..

The Metroid Prime 3 Preview channel has providing videos and previews for the game to build even more anticipation. And with the tag line "Feel the power of ultimate control", Corruption looks to be the first Wii game to fully utilize Wii's controller.

Retro Studios has claimed that Corruption is the final chapter in the Prime sub-series. In Metroid Prime, Samus investigated the planet Tallon IV and defeated Meta-Ridely and Metroid Prime. Samus was back in Echoes and landed on Aether to save the Luminoth from the dark side of the planet in a confrontation with Metroid Prime who now taken on the form of Dark Samus.

Now it all culminates in a final chapter of Corruption. What's in store for our heroine Samus Aran? We know the substance Phazon and Dark Samus are back in this final conclustion and it will all be answered on Monday.
