GamesIndustry.biz reports that Crytek, the graphical powerhouse developer behind Crysis, is a supporting all three current consoles:

"Crytek, developer of forthcoming PC shooter Crysis, has confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that it plans to produce games for consoles in future - including the Nintendo Wii."

President Cevat Yerli of Crytek on the Wii:

""Nintendo Wii is certainly on the radar, we will do something for Nintendo Wii - the question is when. I think some time maybe in three or four years, but nobody knows when."
"

More support for the Wii is good, but with questioning doubt of its longevity, is three or four years time a wise decision to put a game on the console? Most likely Crytek would be the ones to push the Wii's graphical abilities to the limits as it is what the company is known for, but could it be too late?

Yerli on the Playstation 3:

"The PS3 room is separate because we have some secret technologies being developed there which are not related to CryEngine 2."

Interesting note. What does Crytek have in store for the PS3? With the 'secret technology' not being the CryEngine2, are they planning a whole new engine for the PS3? Or it's plausible that it's a new game for the Playstation 3. Looks like Crytek isn't spilling the beans and we all just have to wait.

Yerli on a new game for the Xbox 360:

"It's a complete departure from Crysis and Far Cry, it's not a first-person shooter," he explained."

Ooohhh... Crytek already has a game for the Xbox 360 and it's a new intellectual property since it's not Crysis nor Far Cry. Again, Crytek is tight lipped on the game, but it's an interesting departure for the company.

Looks like Crytek has its hands full supporting all three consoles and PC. Crysis is currently scheduled for November 16, and after that, it looks to keep busy well into 2008.

Hey, thanks: GamesIndustry.biz
