Blog Post: The PSP Has a New Market Niche Subscribe to this RSS feed

GamePolitics gets an FBI report that implies victim was saved, in part, by a PSP.

"Excuse me. My house is one fire." "One moment ma'am, lemme beat this level."

The PSP is known for many things; it's amazing LCD screen, it's isolating use of UMD discs and it's suckiness. Well today the PSP earned itself a new function, putting criminals to sleep.

Game Politics caught wind of an FBI file detailing a kidnapping. The victim was kidnapped, tortured and held in a hotel for nine days.

GP states:

Garcia, a business owner, was forced to write checks to the men totalling more than $17,000. His kidnappers also made him call his wife and tell her that he had left her for another woman in order to keep her from calling the police.

One of the assailants, 18 year old Jose Sanchez, reportedly passed the time by getting down on his PSP. Eventually Sanchez wore his retinas out and fell asleep, meanwhile the victim loosened his bonds and made an escape. Way to go PSP!

Hey, Thanks: GamePolitics
