Famitsu pits the newly redesigned PSP against it's predecessor to find out if it's really worth buying.
It might be newer, but can it play better games? I don't think so.
At E3 Sony officially announced that they will be redesigning the PSP for the holiday season. The new system will be thinner, lighter, have more battery power, more memory and so forth. Being someone who abandoned the PSP long ago, I was not impressed. For every other skeptic, and even those still loyal but unsure if they need a new PSP, Famitsu has side-by-side images of the new and old PSP's.

I'd love to find an excuse to not want the PSP 2000. Famitsu, we all appreciate the work you put into this, but I'm still on the fence.
Gamepro has a similar article from E3.
It seems like Sony's attempt to win back some of the handheld market is going to be an uphill battle. And, reports of exploding batteries aren't helping...

I thought we were calling it the PSP slim, you know like the DS lite. Its a play on words, don't worry its not a very good one.

PSP's cost too much for me and I don't even need one really.
