Capcom's trademarking of a game title has fans wondering and speculation wandering.
There's been some chatter amongst the blogosphere about a new title that Capcom recently registered for trademark called "Apollo Justice". Blogs like Game|Life and Kotaku have observed that the prospective game could be a Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney sequel, as the star of the fourth game will be a new lawyer whos Japanese name loosely translates to "Law", which is associated with justice. Also, apparently there's justice involved in the legal system, but I've got a handful of unpaid parking tickets that refutes that.
An interesting point to the contrary was brought up by a few astute commenter named "sadt" on Joystiq:
I think Capcom might be making a sequal [sic] to Project Justice game which came out on DC. It was a very good and fun fighting game, I hope it comes on the next gen consoles.
The more I thought about this, the more it made sense. Even if Phoenix Wright isn't the star of the game, Capcom would do well to included some semblance of the first three games' titles to appeal to the many fans of the series. It'd just make sense to at least include the "Ace Attorney" subtitle, so why isn't it there? Also, Apollo Justice does have an uncanny tie, title-wise to the under-appreciated Dreamcast fighter--one of the few the company was able to do well in 3D. What was formerly a "Project", has finally come to light, or become "Apollo".
Hey, Thanks: Joystiq

I don't know which to choose. I like Phoenix Wright for the DS and I like Capcom's fighting games. I never got to play Project Justice because I could never find it. Hmmmmmm....man, if I had to guess, I would guess a sequel to Project Justice because of the name Apollo Justice. Phoenix Wright: Apollo Justice? Doesn't sound right. Sounds like Phoenix was taken over by a guy named Apollo. That's just me....???
