#5 Diablo 3

Fansites are writhing with plot speculation, custom box art, fake trailers and even a petition to Blizzard requesting Diablo 3's announcement. However, with Blizzards recent announcement of Starcraft 2, it's likely that Diablo 3 will be kept on Blizzards back burner for a while.

#4 PS3 Price Reduction

With the way things are going for Sony you'd think that they'd be desperate to lower the price of the "Ferrari of consoles." On the other hand, it's Sony, and they've made a reputation by bullying the market. If they want you to pay six hundred bucks for another 6 months, well, you'll be doing just that, dammit.

#3 Virtual Console Games on the DS

PS3 owners can download Psone games that are playable on the PSP. Nintendo, on the other hand, has a much wider variety of games on the Virtual Console, but the games are stuck on your Wii. We know the DS can handle N64-caliber games, so a USB connection and storage method are the only major hurdles the company has to clear. Unless Nintendo is reading our minds we doubt they've given this one much thought. The company has been known for pulling some pretty wacky surprises in the past.

#2 Kid Icarus on the Wii

Most of Nintendo's first party titles have been recycling themselves since the NES days. So, why not resurrect one of that era's best titles? Kid Icarus would be an epic announcement. But, since no news what-so-ever has surfaced, this title still seems highly unlikely. Recent activity like the original game's appearance on the Virtual Console and Pit's spot on the Smash Brothers roster have given us a little bit of hope, however.

#1 Final Fantasy VII Remake

Square-Enix usually leaves the big announcements for its Japanese fans, and the company has already laid out some big ones this year already with games like Last Remnant. Bringing FFVII up is probably going to upset a lot of people who are hoping to forget about their lost love and move on to FFXIII. But, for the most hardcore fans, this is a dream that will never, ever die.
