#5 Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - [ PS2 ]

While tracks on GTA 3 may have been more original, Vice City was the first game to make use of a licensed soundtrack that really complimented its specific style of gameplay. Its in-car radio was constantly booming with tracks 80s pop big-shots such as Michael Jackson, Hall & Oates, and Blondie, while anthems like Cutting Crew's Died in Your Arms, Mr. Mister's Broken Wings, and the Outfield's Your Love put the icing on this floury 80s cake. Wait, was that really flour?

#4 Rez - [ PS2 ]

More electronic beats await you in Rez, the brainchild of Q Entertainment frontman Tetsuya Mizuguchi. One part shooter and another part stoner's paradise, Rez has players piloting a wire-frame character through the electronic inner workings of a massive computer. Appropriately enough, the tunes are electronic, featuring pulsating bass and trippy effects. It's a become a rare title to find lately, but if you can track it down, it's well worth your listening time.

#3 Lumines - [ PSP ]

Falling blocks, low-beat tunes, nothing beats a good game of Lumines. Featuring an eclectic mix of electronic music, the game oozes cool club-inspired attitude. If you're a huge fan of the music, you might want to import the official Japanese CD "Lumines Remixes," which includes all of your favorite tracks (minus those by artist Mondo Grosso), spread across 2 CDs. And, with Lumines 2 and Lumines Plus just around the corner, your ears are in for a electronic treat.

#2 Guitar Hero - [ PS2 ]

Guitar Hero is all about rocking out (hard!), and thankfully the game delivers on that in spades. Most of your favorite rock songs are here and accounted for, from Ozzy Osborne to Queen, to more contemporary acts like Sum-41. But, even with all those songs, fans still cried for more. With Guitar Hero 2 just months away from release, we can be guaranteed that the sequel will pack in even more of your favorite hard rockin' tunes.

#1 Katamari Damacy - [ PS2 ]

Enter the world of the truly bizarre in Namco's Katamari Damacy. Not only to do you get to roll a giant ball around the world and pick up all sorts of stuff, you also get treated to one of the weirdest and most charming soundtracks to ever grace a home console game. Quirky, catchy, and very Japanese, the tunes in Katamari Damacy (even in Japanese) hold a surprisingly high amount of universal appeal.
