#5 Hunter - [ GameCube ]

Terrifying but ultimately annoying, the Hunters from the first Resident Evil are downright infamous for their cheap combat tactics. When you hear that sinister click click click coming from around the corner, you know you're about to be decrapitated by the Hunter's lunge attack. Did we mention that one-hit kills suck?

#4 Scarab Demon - [ PC ]

The infamous Scarab Demon is responsible for more smashed keyboards than any other single monster in Diablo II. In combat, these guys are mostly unassuming...until you hit one and it gushes out waves of lethal electricity. Better pray you've got a portal scroll handy!

#3 Ghost Fish - [ Xbox ]

They're small, they're fast, and they can slash your life-bar to nothing in a microsecond. The undead Ghost Fish in Ninja Gaiden make just a few appearances, but their outrageous difficulty leaves a lasting impression. And did we mention that, in the first Hurricane Pack, they're practically everywhere? Truly obnoxious.

#2 Roboskeet - [ PC ]

Hideous...but then again, so is the entirety of Daikatana. These ridiculous Roboskeets fulfill all of our most stringent requirements: they're loud (*bzzzzzzzzzz*), tinted dayglo green, and damn-near impossible to hit. If God, in all His infinite wisdom, saw fit to create a creature made out of pure irritation, He could surely do no better than the Roboskeet.

#1 Medusa Head - [ DS ]

These are the worst. Medusa Heads made their debut in the first Castlevania, and have appeared in nearly every Castlevania game since. Their sole purpose is to knock you off platforms...which, in the Castlevania series, spells instant death. We'll never know just how many brave Castlevania players fell to these murderous Medusa Heads, and that's probably for the best.
