Two classic Nintendo characters take slots 10 and 9

10.Link (Legend of Zelda Series)

Female Gender Clues:
1. Those bangs require "beauty apparatus" for upkeep. No man should have such tools.
2. . Link wears a dress. Maybe this picture doesn't show it, but by god, in Link's closet sits a green dress.

Male Gender Clues:
1. While those arms may look thin, Link somehow still manages to carry a sword, a shield, a boomerang, a large flame-producing candle, a magic wand, a bow, a supply of arrows, bags of rupees, a ladder, a map, potions, a raft, etc., etc.
2. Link is consistently attempting to save a woman. This is most likely because of romantic intentions. Then again, maybe they just have a lot in common. Is it that hard to imagine Link asking Zelda to curl his/her bangs?
3. I think that large line coursing down the middle of Link's neck is an Adam's apple.

Gender Disclosure:
Link is a man, but that doesn't mean I'm backing down from my position on his wardrobe.

9. Toad (Mario series)

Female Gender Clues:
1. This photo provides us with a clear look at Toad's crotch, where those extraordinarily tight trousers reveal no sign of male genitals.
2. Toad is often seen hanging around with Princess Peach, but has never made a move on gaming's most eligible bachelorette.
3. If you've ever heard Toad's shrill voice and lived to tell about it, you know it's anything but manly.

Male Gender Clues:
1. The bow tie is an article of clothing males generally wear during formal occasions; however, by adding a rainbow pattern to it you're asking, or rather, pleading with people to not pay you any respect.
2. The absence of teeth is probably due to Periodontitis, a gum disease that more commonly affects males and smokers, both of which Toad may be.

Gender Disclosure:
Toad's a guy, but it took until Nintendo revealed Toadette 20 years after his creation to confirm it.
