While life can often be difficult and confusing, life's recreational activities shouldn't be. And since so many of us find solace in videogames, I would like to help clear up a frequent source of confusion that gamers face: the androgynous video game character. While more often seen in Japanese-made video games, this character-type is usually purposefully created in an attempt to attract a wider audience to a game. The developers assume that the person playing the game will place whatever gender he or she desires onto that character. However, this also leads to many questions, such as "If I were at a party, would I hit on that Nights character from Nights into Dreams?" or "I wonder if Kirby could get pregnant." This article attempts to answer these questions by revealing exactly which sexual organ sits behind the pants, robes, tights, and dresses of 16 of the most effeminate men and masculine women ever put in a game:

16.Vega (Street Fighter Series)

Female Gender Clues:
1. Not only does Vega have long hair, but he/she appears to braid it.
2. Vega's clothing, which consists of tights held up by a large ribbon-like belt with a sash, fails to inspire masculinity.
3. In Street Fighter II, Vega's first appearance, he/she would celebrate a victory with a high-pitched squeal. Only two kinds of people can emit a high-pitched squeal. Ladies, and pubescent boys. Of the two, Vega resembles a female more.
Male Gender Clues:
1. Vega often fights topless, and since the games Vega appears in have never received an AO rating, it's safe to assume he/she doesn't possess mammary glands.
2. My dad would often walk around the house with his work shoes on and his shirt off. My mother never did.
Gender Disclosure:
Like my father, Vega knows: formal shoes--a must; formal shirt--depends on the situation. Also, like my father, Vega's a male.
15. King (Art of Fighting/ King of Fighers Series)

Female Gender Clues:
1. King's sporting a pearl earring, and I've never seen a guy besides my weird uncle wearing one of those.
2. King looks snappy... almost too snappy.
Male Gender Clues:
1. King is a name normally reserved for male royalty. And adorable dogs.
2. Unless King is catering a wedding, that outfit's not really normal for a gal.
Gender Disclosure:
King is a girl, but oddly enough, the name's appropriate for her. Queen just doesn't seem right.
