My, my--this trailer certainly kicks ass. Will Silent Hill be the first game movie to not totally suck?
Survival-horror fans are traditionally divided into one of two camps: those who love Resident Evil and those who love Silent Hill.
Where the Resident Evil games veer more toward intense action, Silent Hill is known for getting into your head and staying there. It's one thing to blast down hordes of zombies with a shotgun, but quite another to beat down a deformed baby with a broken two-by-four.
The good news is, the latest Silent Hill trailer looks to be a spot-on translation of the game, right down to the evil mannequin monsters, the pea-soup fog, and the creeping sense of dread. The flick comes out in the spring.
